Hayden, the cat, LOVES hairbands...he pulls them out of my basket (that is up on a shelf in the bathroom), he pulls them off my & Juliana's dressers ... it is so funny. I've even been hit in the head w/them while sleeping...seriously, ask Frank!
It is nothing to walk through our house and find them on the floor...

My cats do the same thing, and they always end up losing them under the bathroom scale. I usually discover this after weighing myself and finding that I supposedly weigh about 10 lbs less than I figure I should. At first it's good for the ol' ego, but then I realize that it's probably just hairbands, and then I'm really dissappointed when I weigh my self again.
